I have loved working in Red Hill for more than 30 years as a busy GP. I have watched our suburb change from families and working class households (with lots of Italian patients, particularly in Victoria Street) to more professional households in lovely renovated homes on the surrounding hills (even Bluey!) I now have the joy of caring for the "babies of babies" I have cared for! I enjoy all aspects of General Practice but are noting that many of my patients are getting older (like me!) so my area of practice now includes the care of older patients and those with chronic diseases. I really believe that there is great value in having an enduring relationship between the GP and the patient, as subtle changes in health may be noted earlier by someone who knows you and cares for you.
